3d box stage | Virtual event set
A 3D box stage design in vMix virtual production is a modern broadcast-style setup built for live virtual events, webinars, and hybrid conferences. The entire stage is structured as a three-dimensional environment, giving depth and realism to the virtual scene while maintaining full control within a live production workflow. It is designed to work seamlessly with green screen (chroma key) inputs, allowing presenters to be placed naturally inside the virtual environment in real time, creating a highly immersive broadcast experience.
At the center of the stage is a large wide main screen, which acts as the primary content display area. This screen can be used for presentations, video playback, live graphics, slides, or dynamic multimedia content. It also supports multiple input sources, allowing producers to switch between presentations, media feeds, and live visuals without interrupting the flow of the event. The side and surrounding 3D structure enhances the visual framing, making the stage feel like a real physical broadcast studio rather than a flat digital background.
For production control, the system includes four fixed camera presets with zoom in and zoom out movements, designed to simplify live switching even for beginners. These pre-configured camera angles allow operators to quickly move between wide shots, presenter close-ups, and dynamic framing without manual adjustment. Combined with easy-to-use controls in vMix, this makes the entire virtual stage highly efficient for live production, ensuring smooth transitions, professional output quality, and a broadcast-ready experience with minimal technical complexity.
